Following on from the success of the original radio edit of Did You See It (Arsene Wenger) by Joe Ward, The Junk Label is now releasing the brand new Electro Mix.

The original radio edit has now become a permanent fixture on the playlists of several football clubs around the country and we would like to offer huge thanks to all the clubs that are supporting this song.

Super trendy clothing store Abercrombie and Fitch have also added Did You See It (Arsene Wenger) to their instore and online playlists Worldwide, so another massive thanks goes to them, and also to the Sky TV sports channel ESPN who have used Did You See It (Arsene Wenger) as backing music for football programs.

Brand new Dub Step remix coming September 2010!

The original version of Summer Jam recorded by the Underdog Project has become a classic summer anthem worldwide. This remake by Jax has proved to be highly popular in UK clubs and other areas in Europe, particularly Cyprus.

Remixes by Wideboys, Seed, Wlll and Cyanide helped Summer Jam to number 6 in the Music Week commercial club charts in the Summer of 2008. The Music Week club charts are compiled from votes given by top DJ’s all over the UK.

The music video was directed by Alex Metcalf and filmed in Cyprus in December 2007. The aim was to give an expensive feel on a low budget. To achieve this many favours were called in from friends and family. Custom made jewellery, fast cars, fast woman, motorbikes and even a helicopter! These are just a few of the amazing things that appear in the video for little or no cost. The video received airplay on Chart Show TV and Flava and a new version of the video was cut to the Wideboys bassline remix in 2009.

Joe tells us “I don’t want to write songs which are not reflective of someone my age. Being a teenager is great fun but it also comes with lots of stresses and struggles of its own. I use humour a lot in my music because life through my eyes is pretty funny and sometimes really incredibly peculiar! My music reflects that, but I also want to communicate that even though we are young, we sometimes show more maturity and depth than we are given credit for”.

The early days..
Joe is no stranger to the recording studio . “My parents house revolved around music. We had a Pro studio there,” he says, “instruments and artists in and out all the time, many chart stars, part of my life from year dot,” Joe recalls. “It was really only a matter of time for me to make the decision that music would be fundamental to my life and my career.”

“My upbringing and the chances I had to perform showed me what was possible in this business,” he says, “it taught me that success doesn’t just happen, you have to go out and earn it.” So, back in 2004, Joe put ambition into action and started writing material for his debut album. Several years, gazillions of torn up pieces of paper and rejected songs later, Joe has finally honed his writing skills enough to have been noticed by and signed to The Junk Label.

Did you see it (Arsene Wenger)
Joe’s debut single Did you see it (Arsene Wenger) was released on The Junk Label late in 2009. Due to the lyrical connection with a certain famous football manager, the track received airplay in many football stadiums around the UK, and at some clubs it is played religously before every home game! The track has also been used by ESPN Sports Sky TV channel as backing music.

And now..
2010 sees Joe touring in Cyprus for the summer season, singing and playing guitar with up and coming Cypriot band Grounded. He is also DJ’ ing most nights to earn a crust and any spare time is spent on recording tracks for his debut album.
